Team Leader (m/f/d) IT Support/Helpdesk and IT System Administration

For the area of IT Support/Helpdesk and IT System Administration we are looking for a Team Leader (m/f/d) in full-time (39 h/week - normally no work required on weekends or outside normal office hours) to hire immediately. As a part of the GLOBALG.A.P. IT department, the team is responsible in supporting our staff members (< 200; no direct customer communication, neither inbound nor outbound) with their hard- and software questions and issues as well as in evaluating, introducing, administrating, and giving training on the systems used by the company.

Your responsibilities

Technical tasks:
  • Actively support the decentral and international staff in all relevant IT issues arising in the daily business operations covering 1st level assistance
  • Utilize your technical background, take arisen support issues further to develop sophisticated solutions and root cause analysis via 2nd level support
  • Research state-of-the-art systems, solutions and peripherals off the shelf for our business purposes
  • Administrate the Office 365 environment as well as other systems used for our SME and collaborate with external IT service providers
  • Research, implement and monitor state-of-the art infrastructure and endpoint IT security measures, shaping an overarching IT security strategy 
  • Actively train and facilitate functional and security knowledge management to all staff
Leadership tasks:
  • Empower and develop staff members by conducting regular feedback talks
  • Be responsible for your budget and present regular reports to the Chief Technology Officer
  • Plan new positions, incl. staff selection and onboarding
  • Actively interact with other team leaders to assure operative exchange on business relevant activities
  • Follow the guidelines for team leaders and the Best Leadership Practice, live and incorporate our core values and be a role model to others

Your profile

  • IT-related vocational training (or equivalent) followed by 1-2 years of professional experience in job-related activities
  • Profound knowledge of administrating Microsoft Office 365 (preferably also Dynamics and PowerShell) and experience in managing endpoint IT security
  • Proficient in English (C1 level)
  • Supportive, reliable and trustful attitude enabling a strong customer and service orientation along with a high level of confidentiality
  • Characterized by a quick and good conceptual and analytical understanding as well as a strong capacity for abstraction
  • High motivation to empower and develop staff along with a desire to actively impart knowledge instead of making yourself indispensable as an expert
  • Open-minded nature feeling comfortable to deal with multiple objectives and their priority in an agile environment
