IT Support/Helpdesk and IT System Administration Team Member (m/f/d)

GLOBALG.A.P. is a brand of smart farm assurance solutions developed by FoodPLUS GmbH in Cologne, Germany, with cooperation from producers, retailers, and other stakeholders from across the food industry. These solutions include a range of standards for safe, socially, and environmentally responsible farming practices. The most widely used GLOBALG.A.P. standard is Integrated Farm Assurance (IFA), applicable for fruit and vegetables, aquaculture, floriculture, livestock, and more. This standard also forms the basis for the GGN label: The consumer label for certified, responsible farming and transparency.

For the area of IT Support/Helpdesk and IT System Administration we are looking for a team member (m/f/d) in full-time (39 h/week - normally no work required on weekends or outside normal office hours) to start immediately.

Your responsibilities

  • Actively support the decentral and international staff (< 200) in all relevant IT issues arising in the daily business operations covering 1st level assistance as well as 2nd level support – no direct external customer communication, neither inbound nor outbound
  • Research state-of-the-art systems, solutions, and peripherals off the shelf for our business purposes
  • Administrate the Microsoft 365 environment as well as other systems used for our SME and collaborate with external IT service providers
  • Research, implement and monitor state-of-the art infrastructure and endpoint IT security measures, shaping an overarching IT security strategy
  • Actively train and facilitate functional and security knowledge management to all staff

Your profile

  • IT-related vocational training (or equivalent), ideally followed by 1-2 years of professional experience
  • Profound knowledge of administrating Microsoft 365 (preferably also Dynamics and PowerShell) and experience in managing endpoint IT security
  • Proficient in English (C1 level), comfortable to work in an English-speaking working environment
  • Supportive, reliable, and trustful attitude enabling a strong customer and service orientation along with a high level of confidentiality
  • Characterized by a quick and good conceptual and analytical understanding as well as a strong capacity for abstraction
  • Enjoying the combination of ad hoc customer orientated problem solving as well as mid and long term-oriented planning and shaping of the IT infrastructure
  • Open-minded nature feeling comfortable in an agile environment
  • Desire to actively impart knowledge instead of making yourself indispensable as an expert
